The official registered business name is Cognit Trellis. The business was established in 2014 in Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do.
How the desk began
Lim Jihoon had spent his twenties marking daily closes for a research desk in Gwangju, the sort of work where a 20-day average was refreshed before anyone spoke at the morning meeting. In 2014 he registered Cognit Trellis in Suncheon and started an evening class for twelve adults around a borrowed table, copying averages from the Korea Exchange cash session onto gridded paper.
The lease at 90 Jungang-ro, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do, 57932 began in 2017, after the class outgrew a room above a stationery shop two streets away. Weekend drills were added in 2019, when Han Sora joined from a Busan futures desk where she had prepared chart packs for eight years. The subject never widened. Technical analysis training here still means moving averages and the slower question of trend confirmation.
We kept paper when screens became ordinary, because a line that draws itself hides the closes it still contains. Students who want a terminal full of indicators have other rooms in Seoul. Ours asks for a pencil.
People at the table
Han Sora
Leads the Weekend Average Drill and sits in on evenings three and four. She is strict about thin names: if the sessions around a cross are mostly empty, the table is allowed to write “too thin” and move on.
How we work with people
Eight seats is the most the blotter can hold without someone marking a sheet they cannot see. We do not publish tips after the close, and we do not manage accounts. A person who wants a verdict on one chart books a Chart Sitting. A person who wants the habit books the six evenings.
Suncheon is the right size for this. Many who come work in Jeollanam-do through the day — wholesale, clinics, schools, the port towns — and study the cash session only after 15:30. The room respects that. We start at 19:00, we finish at 21:15, and we do not assign homework that pretends you have a free afternoon.
The values are ordinary and we keep them visible: say when a trend is unconfirmed, keep a person’s positions out of the group conversation, and return fees when we cancel.
